About the Role

Shift is seeking a Content & Social Media Marketer who can own our organic marketing engine.

This role blends content creation, email marketing, social media management, and events logistics. You’ll play a critical role in shaping Shift’s brand presence and supporting campaigns that generate engagement, awareness, and inbound interest.

This is a high-ownership role in a fast-moving B2B fintech environment. You will be expected to translate business objectives into content outputs — often without highly detailed briefs. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with ambiguity, creating structure where needed, and proactively identifying gaps in messaging or process.

You are not just publishing content — you will execute:

• Communicate complex crypto infrastructure clearly and credibly.

• Turn content into measurable inbound interest.

• Strengthen email marketing so it supports the sales pipeline.

• Ensure consistency across channels in a remote, fast-scaling company.

This role requires someone who thinks beyond individual posts or campaigns and understands how organic marketing supports revenue and long-term positioning.

What You’ll be doing:

• Lead the production of SEO-driven and long-form content, including blogs, gated assets, research pieces, sponsored content, newsletters, and website copy—ensuring topics align with strategic growth priorities rather than keywords alone.

• Optimize content for answer engine optimization (AEO) by structuring it around high-intent audience questions, using clear expert answers, credible sources, and schema-friendly formatting that improves visibility across Google and AI search tools.

• Own the full social media content lifecycle across LinkedIn, X, and Telegram, including ideation, drafting, scheduling, engagement, and performance measurement. Develop credible, opinionated content based on industry trends and draft thought-leadership posts on behalf of Shift’s leadership team..

• Build and manage email marketing, including insight-led monthly newsletters, nurture journeys, automated flows, segmentation, and performance analytics—helping rebuild and refine lifecycle foundations where needed.

• Collaborate with the Growth Marketing Manager to align messaging with paid campaigns — ensuring organic and paid efforts reinforce one another.

• Apply AI tools for content drafting, optimization, and research — using AI to increase quality and efficiency, not replace critical thinking.

• Ensure flawless attention to detail across public-facing materials — understanding that credibility matters in the fintech space.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 2–3 years of hands-on B2B content and social media marketing experience, ideally within SaaS, fintech, finance, crypto, or another complex technical industry.

• Hands-on experience writing content, managing social channels, and producing email campaigns — with the ability to explain the reasoning behind your strategic decisions.

• Familiarity with SEO, AEO, keyword strategy, and analytics tools — and an understanding of how SEO connects to broader funnel performance.

• Experience with CRM and email platforms (Zoho, HubSpot, Klaviyo, or similar).

• Excellent grammar, writing clarity, and editorial sensibility — able to simplify complex ideas without losing substance.

• A production mindset — someone who consistently delivers clean, accurate work while managing multiple priorities.

• Comfort operating in an environment where not everything is fully defined. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, asks thoughtful questions, and moves work forward independently.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Figma or other design tools.

• Experience in event coordination.

• Familiarity with landing page tools or light design editing.

• Experience in fintech, crypto, or digital assets.

This role shapes Shift’s voice, brand perception, and organic reach. The content and touchpoints you create influence how prospects perceive Shift and how effectively they move through the marketing funnel. You support top-of-funnel growth and strengthen all downstream sales activities.

This is a remote, 40-hour-per-week role. The successful candidate must maintain meaningful working-hour overlap with the New York team while retaining reasonable flexibility around local evening hours.
