Customs Analyst

Job Description

As part of our Manufacturing team, you’ll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles we\'re known for. In our plants around the world, we\'re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. You\'ll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love. Location: GTBC Edo. Mex.

Responsibilities

• Review, map, and document end-to-end customs processes to ensure comprehensive activity capture and mitigate risk of shipment disruptions related to customs compliance.
• Review reports on a regular basis to track shipment status and identify potential risks or deviations.
• Ensure shipments cross within target timeframes, coordinating preventive and corrective actions as needed.
• Identify root cause of shipment holds/delays and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Follow up on shipments hold due to customs issues, escalated by the logistics team through to resolution.
• Develop analytic tools.
• Develop performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in international Trade or similar
• 4+ Years of Experience in the Customs space
• Bilingual Spanish/English
• Strong understanding of MX customs regulations, international trade laws, and import/export processes
• Experience coordinating custom broker and Customs service providers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven capacity to operate effectively in high-pressure situations characterized by shifting priorities and evolving business requirement
