Intake Specialist

Please Note: This is an independent contractor position. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the client intake process from initial contact to onboarding
• Screen and evaluate potential clients to determine eligibility for legal services
• Conduct intake interviews and gather necessary information accurately
• Maintain and update client records and internal databases
• Communicate case status updates to clients, attorneys, and staff
• Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients, providing a professional and welcoming experience
• Assist with drafting, formatting, and organizing intake documents
• Coordinate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure smooth case handoff
• Follow up with prospective clients in a timely and professional manner

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Intake Specialist or in a similar client-facing role
• Experience in a legal or professional services environment preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software
