Manufacturing Packaging Engineer 2
Intuitive Surgical
Manufacturing Packaging Engineer position supporting development, validation, and maintenance of instrument and accessory packaging processes. Responsibilities include process optimization, quality analysis, equipment validation, and continuous improvement initiatives in a medical device manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Optimize manufacturing and packaging processes using engineering principles to improve performance
- Monitor daily status of plant packaging processes and troubleshoot production line issues
- Analyze quality notifications to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Design experiments to establish critical packaging process parameters and windows
- Support product transfers and new product introductions related to packaging processes
Requirements
- 2-3 years packaging and/or manufacturing process engineering experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- English proficiency at 80% (read, written, spoken)
- Demonstrated experience with IQOQPQ and PPQ validation processes
- Knowledge of packaging equipment (form-fill-seal, tray sealers, laser markers)
- Proficiency in CAD and SolidWorks software
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering preferred
