Senior Labor Counsel

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on labor and employment matters, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
• Advise leadership on labor law updates, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements.
• Manage labor disputes, audits, claims, and relationships with labor and social security authorities.
• Support HR in employee relations, union negotiations, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment and commercial contracts.
• Lead labor compliance training and support internal investigations when required.
• Partner with business leaders to identify risks and implement practical legal solutions.

Requirements

• Law degree required.
• 10+ years of labor and employment law experience in corporate or multinational environments.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong experience with union relations and collective bargaining negotiations.
• Solid knowledge of Mexican labor law, social security regulations, and REPSE requirements.
• Experience negotiating operational and commercial agreements.
• Strong risk assessment, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• High ethical standards and commitment to compliance.
