Sr Manager, Manufacturing Engineering (Tijuana)

Responsible for all activities that are focused on planning and controlling the Engineering department.

• Is responsible for coordinating the activities of his/her personnel, including product engineering, process/manufacturing engineers, and project engineers.
• Is responsible for providing analysis and design of processes (layouts, line balancing) to the production department.
• Is responsible for generating strategic plans for molds and machinery replacement, capex justification, and project execution.
• Is responsible for providing time methods and measurement for the optimal timeline in the manufacturing and or assembly of all finished goods.
• Is responsible for the accurate implementation of products and processes transferred to the Tijuana facility.
• Is responsible for Master validation Plan development and execution, fulfilling ISO ***** and ISO**** requirements.
• Is responsible for the official creation and documentation of the production and assembly processes and procedures, as well as their timely maintenance, for to represent all the current production and assembly steps that ensure the products fully meet the customer's requirements.
• Is responsible for creating all procedures about the activities of his/her department to meet all the different certification requirements, such as: ISO, CTPAT, etc.
• Is responsible for ensuring that all processes and procedures include all Environmental Health and Safety aspects and requirements to ensure the wellness of the employees, materials, and processes that ensure that all legal and corporate requirements are met.
• Applies principles of supervision, ensures 4 I's and Code of Ethics and conduct are observed, modeled, and followed by his/her staff.
• Performs staff evaluations by adhering to PMD process and promotes discipline among the staff.
• Is responsible of creating and efficiently managing the Engineering department's budget.

Experiencia y requisitos

• School Professional level: BA/BS in Engineering or Science or equivalent training and/or experience, with focus on Industrial Engineering (Desirable).
• At least 10 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Advanced English level (reading and writing that allow fluid presentations and/or participation in negotiation processes).
• (Desirable) Experienced in molding processes.
• Managing personnel.
• Lean manufacturing experience and the use of all Lean Manufacturing tools.
• Budgeting.
