GIE, Program Leader & site SPOC

The GIE Program leader manages global engineering programs, ensuring standardized governance, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This role manages project execution across scope, schedule, and budget, drives cross-functional collaboration, and serves as the single point of contact for a designated manufacturing site.

The Global Integrated Engineering (GIE) Program Leader will manage projects and maintain Program Management Governance within the GIE organization. This role is responsible for executing a standardized, scalable approach to program management that ensures alignment with regulatory requirements, accelerates innovation, and drives operational excellence across multiple business units worldwide.

This role ensures consistency, efficiency, and excellence in program execution by developing frameworks, best practices, tools, and governance models that enable successful delivery of strategic initiatives. and drive project performance by ensuring the schedule, scope, and resources are in place to meet program goals while involving the necessary project and program leaders, team members and key stakeholders to succeed.

In addition to core project management responsibilities, this role will serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the GIE organization at a designated manufacturing site, ensuring seamless communication, alignment, and execution of engineering priorities.

This position will also be responsible for ensuring the Governance model is executed by each team within the GIE Organization through direct and/or dotted line functional management of PMO (Project Management Office) managers or project managers to ensure phase gates deliverables are achieved.

This position will work closely with the specific business GIE Portfolio Manager to align project priorities in accordance with the business Portfolio as well as the specific business unit project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Plan, execute, and deliver projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop project charters, timelines, risk assessments, and stakeholder communication plans.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues, and report status to leadership and stakeholders.

Site SPOC Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary liaison between the manufacturing site and the GIE organization.
• Ensure alignment of site-level engineering activities with global standards and strategies.
• Support site leadership in prioritizing and implementing engineering initiatives.
• Escalate critical issues and coordinate resolution with global engineering teams.
• Represent GIE in site governance meetings and provide updates on engineering projects and initiatives.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

Experience & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification and experience with healthcare compliance frameworks strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of program/project management experience, within a global engineering or healthcare organization is preferred.
• Proven ability to implement standardized program management practices across complex, regulated environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills in a matrixed global organization.
• Some travel may be required up to 10%.
