About the job

The Global Consulting team is looking for a Consulting Manager to lead a team of analysts and oversee the execution and satisfactory completion of service delivery projects. This role will support a portfolio of analytic projects, drive strategic growth, and ensure high‑quality delivery outcomes for clients. The Consulting Manager will define and execute business strategies, build and develop talent, interact with customers, and collaborate cross‑functionally with other groups within Global Consulting and other divisions of SAS to maximize revenue, utilization, and customer success.

As a Consulting Manager, you will:

• Develop and implement business plans specific to a practice’s objectives and goals. Work with essential business partners internal and external of division for alignment, strategy, execution and evaluation of practice objectives.
• Define and oversee the practice objectives and the acquisition/development of resources including implementation of partner strategies to support the needs of the business.
• Provide leadership and management of the practice comprised of functions that may include some of the following services: implementation, integration, readiness, management consulting, engagement management, business development, and marketing. May also include other functional areas depending upon the business location and need.
• Provide staff with clear understanding of responsibilities, accountabilities and growth plan by communicating and managing work assignments, training, talent management and performance appraisals.
• Define, create and maintain the required IP and artifacts that support a standard delivery of solutions within the practice to our clients.Ensure adoption across the practice.
• Collaborate regularly with appropriate divisional management to ensure progress toward divisional goals pertinent to their group or practice. Collaborate regularly with appropriate delivery and sales leadership to ensure progress toward joint business plans and objectives are progressing and aligned.
• Professionally represent SAS internally and externally. Ensure managed practice and its members represent SAS professionally and all work activities are conducted with integrity, honesty and fairness.
• Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

Required qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in the Analytics field.
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Analytics, Econometrics, or related field.
• Consulting experience delivering large customer projects.
• Excellent verbal and written fluency in both Spanish and English languages.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to speak at an appropriate technical and business level for the audience and prepare written proposals and recommendations (up to C‑suite).
• Ability to set priorities and deliver objectives without the need for day‑to‑day supervision.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to handle multiple workstreams /demands.
• Two (2) years of management experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Additional competencies, knowledge and skills

• Strong management and leadership skills with good balance of business, technology and delivery experience.
• Ability to conceptualize client needs and translate them into specific implementation strategies.
• Demonstrated business and consulting knowledge. Proven experience leading teams with financial and performance targets.
• Current with market trends, corporate initiatives, leading technology directions and professional services standards.
