Electrical Design Intern

We are seeking an Electrical Design Intern to support our design engineering teams across multiple manufacturing sites, including Monterrey, Ladysmith, and Richland. In this role, you will contribute to the development of industrial control solutions by utilizing engineering design tools such as AutoCAD and CREO (or equivalent), while applying your knowledge of control and power systems.

• Location: Guadalupe, Nuevo León, Mexico
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

• Support design activities for industrial control panels, including SMCs, motor starters, and PLC-based systems.
• Develop electrical and mechanical drawings, including schematics and layout diagrams.
• Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the appropriate systems.
• Provide engineering support throughout the manufacturing process to ensure alignment with design intent, electrical compliance requirements, and established quality standards.
• Assist with additional engineering, documentation, and process-related tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechatronics, Automation, Electronic Systems, or a related field). (Minimum 1 year remaining until graduation).
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical design software, preferably AutoCAD Electrical and/or CREO (or equivalent tools).
