Planner Buyer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Planner Buyer to join our team. This role is responsible for managing inventory levels, procurement activities, supplier relationships, and purchasing strategies to ensure uninterrupted operations and support production demands.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, negotiation experience, and a proactive approach to supplier management within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage pricing structures and profit margin guidelines for assigned product categories
• Plan and maintain inventory levels based on production demand and business requirements
• Conduct supplier and product analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements
• Establish sourcing standards considering cost, quality, brands, and product specifications
• Maintain and update supplier databases and procurement records
• Build and sustain strong business relationships with suppliers to ensure collaboration and service excellence
• Develop strategic supplier partnerships to secure favorable business conditions
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, discounts, returns, and commercial agreements with suppliers
• Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical procurement practices
• Generate purchase orders and manage purchasing documentation and related administrative processes
• Collaborate with production, operations, and logistics teams to ensure material availability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Planner Buyer, Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain role
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• English proficiency (approximately 80% or advanced conversational level
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and purchasing software
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Customer service and supplier relationship management orientation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
