IT Specialist – Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

The IT Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and related applications. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders, Global IT teams, and external vendors, this role ensures system stability, drives continuous improvements, and supports customer implementations and integrations to deliver reliable and efficient business operations.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for incidents, service requests, and application-related issues.

• Monitor system performance and conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis to ensure application stability and user satisfaction.

• Configure and maintain applications according to business requirements and support software updates, releases, and enhancements.

• Participate in implementation projects for strategic customer accounts, including configuration, testing, validation, and go-live activities.

• Design, document, and support integrations between internal and external systems using APIs, EDI, and other interfaces.

• Collaborate closely with business users, project teams, Global IT colleagues, and external vendors to deliver effective solutions.

• Gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions and system improvements.

• Provide user support, knowledge sharing, and training when required.

• Maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Support application lifecycle management activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Manage and follow up on incidents, change requests, and enhancement activities with external vendors.

• Ensure timely communication regarding known issues, planned maintenance, and changes affecting business operations.

Education and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of system integrations, APIs, and EDI concepts.

• Understanding of transportation and logistics processes is preferred.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Fluent English communication skills.

Minimum Work Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT application support, systems administration, or a related role.

• Experience supporting enterprise applications in a complex environment.

• Exposure to Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or logistics applications is preferred.

• Experience with application configuration, integrations, and implementation projects.

• Experience working with international stakeholders and external vendors is considered an advantage.
