Production Manager
Intuitive Surgical
Intuitive Surgical seeks a Production Manager in Mexicali to oversee manufacturing operations and lead a functional team toward performance targets including safety, quality, efficiency, and production planning. The role combines people management, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination in a high-volume medical device environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage production area performance metrics including safety, quality, efficiency, scrap, and production planning
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop production supervisors; conduct performance reviews and provide feedback
- Drive adherence to DOPs, SOPs, EHS and Quality systems, and Manufacturing Guidelines
- Lead Lean initiatives, process improvements, and manufacturing reviews; support validations and audits
- Coordinate with support departments to resolve production issues and manage discrepant material
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 5+ years operations management and engineering experience (external candidates)
- Medical device manufacturing experience preferred, especially high-volume production
- Strong leadership and people development background
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge; Green Belt certification highly recommended
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MRP systems, SAP, and Agile preferred
