Data DevOps Engineer

Position Summary
We are seeking a Data DevOps Engineer to support and enhance our cloud-based data platform, with a strong focus on Snowflake, deployment execution, and automation. This role will drive end-to-end DevOps practices for data pipelines, ensuring reliable releases, scalable infrastructure, and continuous improvement across the data ecosystem.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who can run deployments, improve automation, and optimize data workflows in a fast-paced, production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and manage data platform deployments across environments, ensuring smooth and reliable releases
- Build and enhance automation frameworks to streamline data pipeline delivery and reduce manual intervention
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake and data engineering workflows
- Manage and optimize Snowflake environments, including data pipelines, performance, and cost efficiency
- Work with Matillion to design, deploy, and automate ETL/ELT processes
- Partner with Data Engineers to productionize and operationalize data pipelines
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues in production environments
- Implement DevOps best practices including version control, testing, release management, and environment promotion
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve deployment speed, reliability, and scalability through automation
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in DevOps, Data Engineering, or Data Platform Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (administration, performance, data pipelines)
- Proven experience running deployments and managing release cycles for data platforms
- Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Matillion (or similar ETL tools)
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, SQL, or Bash)
- Experience with Git and version control workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in production support / SRE-style environments
- Knowledge of data observability and monitoring tools
