Manages global category spend for approximately $100-$150 million.

Responsibilities

• Build short- and long-term Contract Manufacturing category strategy to ensure operational excellence and efficiencies.
• Establish a cross‑functional network and foster collaboration with suppliers, wider supply chain organization, engineering, quality, and product management.
• Own vendor performance data and report metrics to leadership.
• Develop and implement a category strategy that optimizes affordability, availability, agility, and innovation.
• Leverage industry knowledge, sourcing concepts, and Lean tools to ensure parts are delivered on time at best cost and quality.
• Manage external relationships with suppliers and oversee all internal activities and decisions associated with the Contract Manufacturing category, including contract negotiations, new product development, approved vendor list, RFX, re‑sourcing, dual qualification, pricing changes, quality, and capacity.
• Collaborate within the Global Strategic Sourcing team and across Product Management and Engineering to align on long‑term strategy, technology roadmap, and risk mitigation.
• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations.
• Build and develop a team of Contract Manufacturing experts to drive global performance.
• Direct supplier selection based on price, quality, service, support, availability, reliability, production, and distribution capabilities.
• Direct negotiations, renegotiations, and administration of contracts with suppliers and vendors.
• Analyze suppliers' operations to determine factors affecting prices and to identify the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and schedule requirements.
• Own purchasing activities of the company, ensuring continuous improvement and the development of mid‑to‑long‑term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues and production location decisions.
• Partner with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and develop sourcing strategies that continuously improve and re‑evaluate purchasing activities.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree.
• 10+ years of experience in a sourcing environment and familiarity with industrial operations.

Preferred Experience

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, finance, or business.
• MBA or professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, CIRM, CPIM).
• Strategic sourcing experience in Contract Manufacturing.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with strategic sourcing and lean tools.
• Digital dexterity and ability to leverage data.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain strategy (development and execution) and category‑specific experience.
• Independently driven problem solver with appetite to tackle complex challenges in a fast‑moving environment.
• Proven track record of successful leadership, negotiation, and strategic communication.
• Strong business acumen and experience collaborating across various levels within a diverse, global organization.

Minimum Requirements

• University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8‑10 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
