Vice President Human Resources

A global manufacturer of industrial machinery with several production plants across Mexico is looking for a Vice-President of Human Resources to lead the people function for the region.

The role has regional reach and responsibility and would be suitable for you if you already run HR across multiple sites and can create and deliver strategy across all of them.

This position can be based out of San Luis Potosi or Querétaro and will be overseeing plants across the Bajio and Northwest regions.

The mandate for this role is to grow and build. The company is growing, so this seat will shape workforce strategy as the business scales.

The company has grown through multiple acquisitions, so the function and culture looks different from one plant to the next. Some sites have mature processes and others will need to be built up to match the company's standards. As a successful candidate, you will need to decide what to standardize across the region and what to keep local.

You will be reporting directly to the GM for Mexico and will be sitting on the regional leadership team from day one. You will have the opportunity to be a true advisor to both peers and operational teams.

To be successful in this role you will need to be an expert in labor relations, comfortable with union presence, and have a deep understanding of collective bargaining in Mexican manufacturing. You will be the key to keeping labor relations stable while the business changes around them.

At the same time, you will be helping the business grow, so building technical and engineering talent pipelines across several cities will be just as important.

Fluency in English and Spanish is expected, given the daily movement between global stakeholders and local plant teams.
