Demand Planner (Temporary Position)

Join our Global Distribution Planning Team as a Demand Planner in a temporary role.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for your own material schedule—reviewing current demand, supply plan and available-to-promise (ATP) quantity.
• Process and monitor daily purchase orders based on MRP results following the overall BU targeted inventory level.
• Assure timely delivery of purchased components and finished goods by building constructive relationships with suppliers.
• Manage day-to-day interactions between customer service and suppliers to achieve high service levels and meet customer expectations.
• Contribute to establishing a balanced supply-chain, cost-cash-service triangle.
• Respond to Customer Service Team requests and expedite in a timely manner.
• Monitor and support fluctuating demands through SAP-MRP system.
• Place purchase orders with appropriate dates and quantity in line with MRP requirements.
• Monitor daily performance and assess long-term business issues.
• Manage shortages or priority allocations with the Demand Planning team.
• Foster positive relationships with external and internal suppliers and customers.
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers, logistics and operations teams toward continuous improvement.
• Run and analyze necessary reports to maintain an accurate schedule.
• Support processes on invoice discrepancies, resolve discrepancies on incoming material.
• Check and support maintenance of master data and system accuracy.
• Conduct past due analysis; monitor, engage and drive solutions for inter-company/supplier deliveries and customer delivery performance.
• Communicate daily performance to vendors to improve on-time delivery.
• Work with the purchasing team toward continuous improvement in quality, performance, pricing and lead-time reduction.
• Maintain order policies to maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing inventory levels.
• Analyze safety stocks and forecasts; provide recommendations to the Demand Planning team on changes.
• Monitor and report on inventory and turn levels regionally.
• Analyze and report on slow-moving inventory.
• Collaborate with warehouse and shipping teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of planning experience in a supply-chain environment.
• Planner or material controller experience in a systems-driven environment.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Strong customer-service orientation and ability to work under pressure.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Problem-solving attitude and analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Adaptable, enthusiastic, positive team player.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of SAP.
