Indirect Materials & Services Buyer

About the Role

We are looking for a highly qualified and performance-driven IDM&S Buyer to support critical operations across infrastructure, projects, and key functional areas such as Maintenance and Production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in indirect procurement or strategic sourcing
• Fluent in English (C1)
• Experience managing categories such as:
• Facility Management
• Infrastructure / Construction / Projects
• Maintenance & Operations
• Professional Services and Utilities
• Experience in multinational or matrix organizations is a plus

Key Competencies

• Strong experience in Indirect Materials & Services procurement (IDM&S)
• Advanced negotiation and contract management capabilities
• Solid understanding of strategic sourcing and operational procurement processes
• Experience in supplier evaluation, development, and performance management
• Strong analytical skills with KPI tracking (QCDIM preferred)
• Proficiency in procurement tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba)

Key Responsibilities

• Execute local procurement activities aligned with global and regional sourcing strategies.
• Manage the full procurement cycle, including:
• Reviewing purchase requisitions
• Identifying qualified sources of supply
• Negotiating and executing contracts
• Lead and execute spot buys with speed and efficiency, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiate and formalize supplier agreements within defined authority levels.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders, recommending cost-efficient or value-added alternatives when applicable.
• Participate in global and regional sourcing initiatives:
• Provide local market insights
• Support RFI/RFP processes
• Evaluate and select suppliers
• Ensure effective local implementation of sourcing strategies
• Support and drive local sourcing initiatives, ensuring quick turnaround and strong execution.
• Manage supplier relationships, including:
• Performance monitoring (QCDIM: Quality, Cost, Delivery, Innovation, Management)
• Supplier evaluations and audits
• Track KPIs related to supplier performance and contract compliance, taking corrective actions when needed.
• Handle multiple concurrent projects, ensuring strict adherence to timelines and deliverables.
• Ensure all activities comply with company policies, including Code of Conduct, EHS, and Quality standards.
