Operational Purchasing Manager

The Operational Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing direct material procurement based on business and operational requirements. This role ensures supplier performance, cost competitiveness, material availability, and supply chain continuity while supporting strategic sourcing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• MBA preferred.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Minimum of five years of experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar leadership position within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in automotive, wire harness, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost analysis, contract management, ERP/MRP systems, and supply chain operations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with domestic and international suppliers to support operational requirements.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, delivery, and service metrics.
• Identify and resolve material shortages while ensuring supply chain continuity.
• Support procurement teams in meeting material requirements and operational objectives.
• Monitor and maintain purchase orders and procurement-related data within ERP systems.
• Develop and implement negotiation strategies through cost analysis, market intelligence, and supplier engagement.
• Lead operational purchasing projects, including supplier contracts, standard cost initiatives, and online bidding processes.
• Drive cost reduction, value analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct supplier business reviews and establish action plans to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks and prevent future material shortages.
• Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and Operations teams to support business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team to strengthen negotiation, analytical, and supplier management capabilities.
