Accounting Data Analyst

The Finance & Data Analytics Analyst is responsible for supporting business decisions through financial analysis, reporting, data management, and process optimization initiatives. This role will work cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, and operational teams to improve data visibility, automate reporting processes, and generate actionable business insights.

The ideal candidate combines strong Accounting and Finance knowledge with advanced Excel capabilities and an interest in leveraging data tools, SQL, and emerging AI technologies to drive efficiency and improve decision-making.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare, maintain, and analyze recurring financial and operational reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial performance tracking.
• Develop financial models and reporting tools to support business decisions.
• Analyze trends and provide recommendations based on financial and operational data.
• Support month-end and quarter-end reporting activities.

Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

• Extract, organize, and analyze data from multiple systems to support reporting and decision-making.
• Build and maintain dashboards and KPI reporting using Excel and Power BI.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
• Support integration of financial and operational data into centralized reporting environments.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and reporting enhancements.
• Support implementation of AI-enabled tools and workflows to streamline financial and operational processes.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance productivity, reporting, analysis, and business insights.
• Document and improve existing reporting processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Accounting, Finance, and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
• Translate business questions into analytical outputs and recommendations.
• Support ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field required.
• 2–5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Financial Analysis, FP&A, Business Analytics, or related roles required.
• Strong Accounting and Finance foundation required.
• Advanced Excel skills required , including:
• Pivot Tables
• XLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH
• Complex formulas
• Financial modeling
• Data analysis and reporting
• Experience developing dashboards and reporting tools (Power BI preferred).
• Basic to intermediate SQL experience preferred.
• Exposure to AI tools and automation technologies preferred.
• Experience working with large datasets and financial systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or similar analytics platforms.
• Exposure to generative AI tools and practical business applications.
• Experience supporting finance transformation, reporting automation, or process optimization initiatives.
• Experience in real estate, investment, property management, or related industries is a plus.
