Assembly/Machining Quality process Engineer

Position Summary

The Quality Process Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining effective quality processes that support manufacturing excellence. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement, reducing the cost of poor quality, mitigating risks through preventive actions, and ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills and experience in automotive manufacturing environments.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Advanced/Fluent English (written and verbal).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in the automotive industry.
• Previous experience in a Tier 1 automotive .
• Experience in assembly and/or machining manufacturing processes.

Technical Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949:2016 requirements.
• Proficiency in Automotive Core Tools : APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA
• Experience with Six Sigma methodologies and structured problem-solving tools.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) .
• Strong statistical analysis skills.
• Experience leading and facilitating 8D problem-solving investigations .
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage quality-related issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead root cause investigations and provide timely responses to internal, customer, and warranty-related quality concerns, ensuring the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop, review, and maintain Control Plans, PFMEAs, and other quality documentation to ensure effective risk management and process control.
• Monitor and analyze quality performance indicators and implement actions to achieve operational and customer quality objectives.
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements, industry standards, and internal quality management systems.
• Support product launches, engineering changes, and validation activities to ensure flawless execution and successful program implementation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, and Customers to resolve quality issues and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Participate in internal and external audits and support corrective action implementation when required.
