Software Engineering Leader - Telecommute (Ciudad Juárez)

Resumen General / General Summary

This position defines the objectives of the Software group to achieve quality and on-time deliveries. It reports project progress and develops recovery strategies as needed. It is also responsible for providing software development estimates, acts as the main point of contact with external and internal clients, and ensures the application of the software development process.

Principales deberes y responsabilidades / Main duties and responsibilities

• Establish software team objectives.
• Detailed project planning using JIRA.
• Time estimation for new potential projects.
• Progress monitoring, establishing recovery alternatives as required.
• Communication with external and internal clients to clarify questions.
• Tiene autoridad para detener cualquier línea/máquina/actividad inseguras, o cuando sospeche o sea identificado un producto o proceso no conformante o que pueda afectar el medio ambiente/ You have the authority to stop any unsafe line / machine / activity, or when you suspect or identify a non-conforming product or process that may affect the environment is suspect or identified.
• Desarrollar actividades relacionadas con el medio ambiente, la salud y seguridad/ To develop activities related to the environment, health and safety.

Competencias y habilidades / Competences and skills

• Knowledge of embedded programming.
• Knowledge of software development tools.
• Knowledge of software architecture and microcontrollers.
• Use of failure report analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization and planning skills.
• Fluent English (95%).

Educación y experiencia / Education and experience

• ~ Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering, Systems or similar. ~3 yr.
• Experience in similar position.
