Medical Director / Senior Medical Director, Psychiatry

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Medical Director or Senior Medical Director in Psychiatry to provide medical oversight of clinical trials, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage safety monitoring. The role involves clinical trial support, adverse event review, and medical consultation across therapy development stages.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight of clinical trials ensuring adherence to SOPs, GCP, and regulatory requirements
• Review and assess serious adverse events, adverse events of special interest, and clinical outcome events
• Monitor safety variables including adverse events, lab abnormalities, and medication protocol compliance
• Conduct medical consultation with investigators, clients, and project team members on study-related questions
• Attend investigator and sponsor meetings and deliver therapeutic and protocol training

Requirements

• MD or equivalent medical degree
• Clinical experience in psychiatry with formal residency and/or fellowship training
• Minimum two years patient treatment experience in psychiatry
• For Senior level: 1-2 years clinical trial or medical monitoring experience in CRO or pharma
• Therapeutic expertise and strong decision-making and analytical skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Understanding of FDA, ICH, EMA, and GCP guidelines
