Junior Accountant, LATAM Stores Accounting Team

Job Overview

Amazon’s LATAM Stores Accounting organization supports our financial reporting, internal control, and the launch of new business initiatives across consumer products, merchant operations, logistics, and payments. We are looking for a junior level candidate to support the business growth of the LATAM accounting organization from our Mexico City office.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the LATAM Stores Accounting team in overseeing all aspects of financial accounting and reporting functions, reporting to a manager.
• Understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess control effectiveness and influence the design of systems, processes, and controls for emerging and growing business activities.
• Conduct technical accounting research and write technical memos when required.

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of Fortune 500 operational accounting experience
• Fluent in English (speak, write, read) and able to take direction in English
• +3 years of experience in accounting, compliance, or auditing processes in countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, or Canada
• CPA certification
• +3 years in Big‑Four auditing/accounting roles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in tax and intercompany matters
