Local Information Security Officer

YOUR ROLE

In your daily job you will:

• Align the site’s information security objectives with the overall objectives of the organization.
• Develop, update, and coordinate the site’s information security policies, guidelines, and regulations with site management.
• Ensure that all approved information security policies and guidelines are effectively communicated to all site employees.
• Establish, operate, and continuously improve the information security organization at the site.
• Develop and maintain the site’s information security concept, ensuring compliance with current legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
• Advise site management on all matters related to information security and associated risks.
• Ensure effective information security reporting, including regular status reports to site management and timely escalation of relevant incidents to defined internal or external bodies.
• Ensure that information security measures, including access control rules and procedures, are properly implemented and documented in a clear, current, and comprehensible manner.
• Initiate, coordinate, and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of information security measures.
• Lead the management of information security incidents, including analysis, coordination of response activities, and follow-up actions.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver role- and target-group-specific information security awareness and training activities for site personnel.
• Plan and coordinate emergency preparedness related to information security, including the development and maintenance of an emergency manual, and cooperate with the designated emergency officer where applicable.
• Promote the active involvement of all site staff in information security processes and emergency preparedness activities.
• Cooperate closely with other security-related roles (e.g., Data Protection Officer, IT Security Officer, Confidentiality Officer) to ensure an integrated security approach.
• Maintain professional competence by regularly participating in mandatory advanced information security training and continuing education activities.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

• Completed bachelor’s degree
• Experience in the automotive industry
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and ISO 19011 for internal audits
• Experience in audits
• Experience in IT project management
• Advanced English: written and spoken
• Advantageous certificate as information security officer
• Basic understanding of GDPR principles and requirements
• Familiarity with European information security frameworks (e.g., BSI IT‑Grundschutz)
