Client Onboarding Senior Associate (Monterrey)

Overview

Position is open to candidates based in Monterrey or Mexico City. The Onboarding Senior Associate supports operational needs of prospects, clients, and internal stakeholders across new client onboarding, data management, and user access administration within the Private and Total Plan platforms. The role includes project management responsibilities: coordinating cross-functional initiatives, managing timelines, mitigating risks, and ensuring clear communication throughout the onboarding lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain client-specific data within the Private and Total Plan platforms with high accuracy, adhering to methodologies, data governance standards, and quality controls.
• Lead and manage onboarding-related workstreams, defining milestones, dependencies, and deliverables and ensuring on-schedule execution.
• Provide client support by responding to inquiries and service requests, leveraging CRM tools to track, manage, and document interactions.
• Serve as a point of coordination for onboarding projects, maintaining transparent communication and providing regular status updates.
• Deliver operational support to internal MSCI users, assisting with platform navigation, data issues, and procedural questions.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align resources, resolve blockers, and drive project objectives to completion.
• Meet individual and team deadlines by collaborating closely with global colleagues, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and task tracking mechanisms to ensure timely delivery and accountability across stakeholders.
• Proactively identify discrepancies, data quality issues, process inefficiencies, or project risks, and elevate or resolve them in alignment with team standards.
• Implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on client deliverables.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing insights, recommending workflow enhancements, and supporting the adoption of new tools or technologies.
• Participate in or lead small-to-mid scale projects aimed at improving onboarding processes, automation, and scalability.
• Maintain a client-centric mindset, ensuring responsiveness, professionalism, and clear expectation setting in all internal and external interactions.
• Adapt effectively to evolving business needs, system updates, shifting project priorities, and global collaboration across time zones, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in managing concurrent initiatives.

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field with a demonstrated record of academic excellence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, automation).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience leading projects and/or managing project initiatives.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in a managerial role, including direct leadership of teams (required).
• Familiarity with AI or GenAI tools is a plus and will support ongoing modernization initiatives.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of self-motivation.
• Strong aptitude for learning and adopting new software, technologies, and workflows.
• Experience in process optimization or refinement is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive initiatives forward.
• Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment, particularly as new technologies and processes are introduced.
