About the Role: We are seeking a talented and motivated Solutions Engineer who is best in class with a high IQ plus a high EQ. As a Solutions Engineer, you are the technical owner of the merchant relationship from first sales conversation through live integration and beyond. You will focus on our enterprise and strategic merchants: the national retailers and high-volume brands running custom, hand-built integrations across web, mobile app, and in-store. These are our most complex merchants and our largest revenue drivers, and they do not come with an off-the-shelf plugin.

You will partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to scope what a merchant needs, design the integration that gets them there, and stay with them once they are live. You own the technical side of pre-sales: demos, architecture discussions, RFP responses, and solution proposals. When a merchant needs something custom, you define the requirement, shape the solution with our engineering team, and drive it to launch. This is a customer-facing engineering role. You will spend as much time on calls with merchant developers as you will in documentation and test environments, and you need to be credible in both rooms. This role combines technical expertise and sales acumen to support sales teams. They work closely with the sales team and clients, understanding customer needs and translating them into effective, tailored solutions. Acting as a bridge between technical and business functions, a Solutions Engineer not only helps demonstrate and implement the product’s capabilities but also communicates complex technical details in a way that resonates with clients. Their role requires both the ability to engage with customers directly and the technical know-how to ensure the product meets client requirements effectively.
