About the Role

We're looking for an IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support across our growing organization. This role can be structured as a contract, contract-to-hire, or full-time position depending on candidate fit.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for employee IT issues (hardware, software, account access, connectivity)
• Provision and deprovision user accounts and devices (onboarding/offboarding)
• Manage device enrollment, patching, and compliance via MDM (Kandji)
• Administer user access and permissions in Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, 1Password, Okta
• Troubleshoot VPN connectivity (NordLayer)
• Translate technical issues into plain language for non-technical staff
• Document recurring issues and maintain internal knowledge base / SOPs
• Escalate complex issues to IT Manager or vendors as needed
• Maintain IT asset inventory (laptops, peripherals, licenses)
• Support conference room / AV setup for meetings as needed
• Assist with basic security hygiene (password resets, MFA enrollment, phishing awareness)

Requirements

• 1-3 years in an IT support, help desk, or technical support role
• Strong communication skills, especially explaining technical issues to non-technical people
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
• Fast learner, able to pick up new tools/systems with minimal onboarding
• Experience with: Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), Okta, Kandji, Slack, Google Workspace, 1Password, NordLayer (or similar VPN)
• Basic troubleshooting across macOS/Windows

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting a remote or hybrid workforce
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (Jira Service Management, Freshservice, Zendesk)
• Basic scripting/automation exposure (Shell, Python)
• Experience supporting multiple business entities or brands
