Facility Project Manager

Overview

Facilities (WS&O) is a service department focused on providing the appropriate conditions for equipment, systems, buildings, services, projects, and construction to support the correct operation of the plant. The WS&O Projects area manages and leads projects that support the existing and future needs for facilities’ systems, technology, equipment, and expansion or retrofit of existing assets. Projects are planned and implemented following the LEGO® Project Model methodology, ensuring that local and national guidelines, regulations and LEGO Group standards are executed in a timely manner.

Core Responsibilities

• Analyze needs and requirements of the Steering Committee for each project, define scope, objectives, stakeholders and deliverables.
• Develop feasibility studies, business cases and standard project documentation according to the LEGO Project Model.
• Support action plans, establish priorities, and standardize department processes, KPIs, reports and metrics.
• Manage stakeholder communication and collaboration plans for each project phase, ensuring engagement of core teams.
• Lead contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality of deliverables per LEGO Construction Standards, while eliminating safety risks.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes (EHS, Security, Governance, Procurement, Legal, etc.).
• Communicate progress and compliance outcomes to stakeholders and the Steering Committee.
• Define and create temporary organizations, identify required resources, and partner with Financial Controllers to manage budget approval and control.

Qualifications

• Experience in Project Management, particularly in construction, industrial, equipment, systems, or manufacturing facility projects.
• Proven ability to work in a team‑oriented environment and manage global, cross‑cultural projects.
• Strong skills in budget management, cost control, procurement procedures, project evaluation techniques, risk management, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Experience managing civil construction of industrial buildings and installation of services such as electricity, water, drainage, air conditioning, finishes, and special systems (access control, fire‑fighting, CCTV, voice and data).
• Fluency in English and proficiency in computer programs (Office, Windows, SAP, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Structured, organized, and able to work independently with advanced knowledge and limited guidance.

Location

This position is based at the LEGO Operaciones de Mexico manufacturing factory located in Cienega de Flores, NL. This is not a remote position.
