Sr. HR Business Partner

What is your role?

As HR Business Partner , you will support the Plant Human Resources Manager in achieving plant objectives while ensuring the successful implementation of HR and business strategies. You will help foster a positive work culture aligned with Corning’s Values, support talent initiatives across the employee lifecycle, and ensure compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and global HR standards.

In this role, you will partner closely with plant leadership, employees, and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver effective HR solutions that drive engagement, productivity, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.

What will you do?

• Support the Plant HR Manager in executing HR initiatives, projects, and daily plant activities.
• Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics, including absenteeism, turnover, and demographic data, to identify opportunities and support business decisions.
• Participate actively in weekly meetings with managers, supervisors, and key stakeholders to provide HR guidance and support.
• Provide coaching and consultation on employee relations, career development, performance management, disciplinary actions, resignations, and terminations.
• Oversee and coordinate employee lifecycle processes from Hire to Retire, including onboarding, orientation, and employee transitions.
• Serve as a key contact for talent acquisition activities and support workforce planning initiatives.
• Support the development and implementation of business and people strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Deploy change management initiatives and COE programs, processes, and policies that support employee engagement and a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, regulatory requirements, and Corning Values.
• Identify HR trends, technologies, and best practices that support strategic business objectives.
• Partner with HR teams and business leaders to build effective talent management strategies and strengthen organizational capabilities.
• Advise leaders on compensation, benefits, organizational design, and workforce-related matters.
• Maintain strong communication with employees and leaders to develop and manage the plant talent pipeline.
• Support labor relations practices and promote consistent application of policies and guidelines across the organization.
• Contribute to achieving operational and budget objectives while maintaining high levels of service, employee engagement, and productivity.

What do you need?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Human Resources.
• Experience supporting multiple client groups within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end onboarding processes for salaried employees.
• Demonstrated success in deploying HR programs, processes, and initiatives.
• Experience conducting talent needs assessments and gap analyses.
• Successful track record implementing global HR business processes and programs.
• Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting HR metrics and workforce trends.
• Ability to influence and build effective relationships with leaders and employees at all levels.
• Knowledge of labor relations practices and employment regulations.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency preferred.
