Cost Management Specialist

Purpose of the Position: The Cost Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of cost data across the Doit platform, reports, and the year‑over‑year database information. This role supports cost management by maintaining savings initiatives, monitoring standard costs, and acting as a liaison between requesters and cost management approvers.

Main Roles & Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze financial data to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Perform variance analyses to compare actual costs against budgets or forecasts.
• Investigate and explain discrepancies between budgeted and actual costs.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of cost budgets.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reports, including variance analyses, financial statements, and management reports.
• Prepare financial projections to anticipate future costs and expenses.
• Collaborate with different departments to align budgets with strategic objectives.
• Monitor spending to prevent budget overruns or unnecessary expenses.

Education: Bachelor’s degree.

Experience: Cost management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Language: English and Spanish

Software:

• Microsoft Excel / Advanced
• SAP / Intermediate
