Senior Concept Design Engineer - Components (San Pedro Tlaquepaque)

SENIOR CONCEPT DESIGN ENGINEER - COMPONENTS
Location: Tlaquepaque, Mexico
Responsibilities
- Clarifying and defining design requirements with the customer in the form of specified project descriptions, analyzing design expenditure
- Working out design drafts on the basis of CAD data provided by the customer with regard to device design, assemblies and parts, taking technical and economical aspects into account
- Drawing up design solutions taking functional, material-related, technical production and economical aspects into account; drawing up selected designs for detailing
- Implementation and arrangement of detailing work for devices, assemblies and parts; preparation of all the necessary 3D documents
- Arranging for tests (mechanical, mechatronic, photometric, thermal) on sample devices, integration of results in the design
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering / Mechatronics / Product Design / Industrial engineering / Aeronautical Engineering
- +6 years of experience in automotive product design
- Very good knowledge CAD (Catia V5 Preferred), DFA and DFM
- Fluent English skills
- Knowledge in SAP PLM
- Good knowledge of the molding injection process and tooling technology
