Senior Product Owner, Power Platform Solutions

The Senior Product Owner, Power Platform Solutions, leads the strategy, delivery, and lifecycle of business applications and automations built on Microsoft Power Platform, Share Point Online, and Copilot. This role partners with stakeholders to define requirements, manage the product backlog, and guide development through design, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization. Serving as a subject‑matter expert, the Senior Product Owner ensures solutions align with business needs, governance standards, and best practices while driving innovation through emerging technologies and AI‑enabled capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Communicate proposed functionality, design decisions, and scope with stakeholders—securing formal sign‑off before development.
• Create and manage test plans for deliverables with business stakeholders, handing off to testers with appropriate context and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure comprehensive testing is performed; review test results and track issue resolution.
• Lead and actively participate in the full lifecycle of Power Platform, Share Point Online, and Copilot solutions, including requirements gathering, design review, development oversight, testing coordination, deployment planning, and solution retirement.
• Coordinate and manage Copilot extensions, prompt workflows, and AI‑assisted solutions to improve business productivity and user experience.
• Ensure complete solution documentation, including architecture overviews, dependencies, deployment procedures, support guides, and user documentation.
• Participate in or facilitate code and solution design reviews to ensure quality, standards alignment, and maintainability.
• Lead and/or collaborate on sprint planning, backlog refinement, and work assignment with the development team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS).
• 5+ years’ experience developing solutions in Microsoft Power Platform (Canvas apps, Model‑driven apps, Dataverse, Power BI dashboards & reports, Power Automate).
• Experience developing with Microsoft Copilot (Copilot Studio, prompt engineering, Copilot integration with Power Platform and M365 apps).
• Experience with solution‑based Power Platform development, including ALM and promoting solutions across DEV‑UAT‑PROD.
• Hands‑on experience with development in Microsoft 365: Power Platform Development (Power Apps and Power Automate).
• Experience leading a general development team.
• Experience with COE principles for Power Platform environments, solutions, and deployment.
• Experience with ServiceNow for tracking projects, tasks, etc.
• Excellent experience with model‑driven Power Apps customizations with advanced configurations.
• Ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert on Power Platform, Share Point Online, and Copilot development, governance, and best practices.

Certifications

• Microsoft Certified Power Platform Functional Consultant (PL‑200)
• PL‑900 (Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals)
