Quality Assurance develops and implements a compliant and cost effective quality system that assures products and services are reliable, safe and effective. This job family provides oversight of production/manufacturing activities, training to operational and quality control personnel, and educates business leaders on Quality policies and procedures and ensures that all products and services are properly reviewed for quality and documented. ***Job Summary*** The Lead Technician, Quality Assurance is responsible for the acceptance/rejection of manufactured product including the production of subassembly and finished products based on product specifications and procedures. This job supports testing for complaints, non-conformance investigations and changes to support production and the facility. The Lead Technician, Quality Assurance job requires knowledge of all operational departments. This job oversees and provides guidance to peers as needed to ensure efficient and effective operations. ***Responsibilities**** Examines products, materials, and components using tools and equipment for signs of quality defects including fatigue, cracks, or other flaws.* Provides oversight to the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes and procedures that ensure compliance with policies and that performance and quality of services conform to established standards and agency guidelines.* Identifies quality defects, files Non Compliance Reports (NCRs), investigates the root cause of issues and works to develop/ processes to prevent future compliance issues.* Supports manufacturing operations and provides technical quality insights to modify processes as needed.* Maintains and ensures compliance with procedures and metrics that impact quality throughout the organization.***Qualifications**** 6+ years of experience, preferred* High School Diploma, GED or technical certification in related field or equivalent experience, preferred***What is expected of you and others at this level**** Takes the lead in effectively applying and teaching new processes and skills in order to accomplish a wide variety of assignments* Comprehensive knowledge in technical or specialty area* Ability to apply knowledge beyond own areas of expertise* Performs the most complex and technically challenging work within area of specialization* Preempts potential problems and provides effective solutions for team* Works independently to interpret and apply company procedures to complete work* Provides guidance to less experienced team members* May have team leader responsibilities but does not formally supervise*Candidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and Veterans are encouraged to apply.**Cardinal Health supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience and background.
