Sr Tax specialist (San Miguel Topilejo)

Are you a tax professional who can go beyond compliance and truly influence business decisions? We are looking for a Sr Tax specialist to take ownership of tax compliance in Mexico while acting as a strategic partner to the business.

Location: CDMX (Hybrid work model)

What you will do

• Ensure compliance with all Mexican tax obligations, including VAT, Income Tax, withholding taxes, and local taxes
• Assess tax implications of business transactions, new projects, and commercial initiatives
• Identify tax risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Support audits and manage interactions with tax authorities (SAT)
• Review tax calculations, filings, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Monitor changes in Mexican tax legislation and lead implementation of required adjustments
• Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions when applicable
• Improve tax processes and internal controls to enhance governance
• Collaborate with external advisors when specialized support is required

What we are looking for

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related field

Experience

• 3 -5 years of progressive experience in corporate tax
• Experience in multinational companies strongly preferred
• Proven ability to support business decisions from a tax perspective

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Mexican tax legislation
• Experience with complex tax matters
• Solid understanding of accounting-tax interaction

Language

• Advanced / Fluent English (mandatory)
