The Role
We are looking for an experienced Paid Media Specialist to manage and optimize Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns for eCommerce clients.
In this role, you will be responsible for campaign execution, optimization, testing, reporting, and performance improvement across a portfolio of DTC eCommerce brands. You will work closely with our Growth Strategists, creative team, and retention team to help clients acquire customers profitably and scale revenue.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working inside ad accounts every day. You should understand how paid media fits into the broader eCommerce growth picture, including creative testing, offer strategy, landing pages, AOV, conversion rate, MER, ROAS, CAC, and retention.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with both Meta Ads and Google Ads, especially for Shopify-based eCommerce brands.
This is a remote contractor role.

- Client ad accounts are actively managed, optimized, and improved on a consistent basis
- Campaigns are structured clearly and aligned with client goals, budgets, and growth strategy
- Meta Ads and Google Ads performance is monitored closely, with proactive adjustments made as needed
- Creative testing, audience testing, offer testing, and campaign testing are executed consistently
- Performance insights are clearly communicated to Growth Strategists and clients
- Budgets are managed responsibly with attention to pacing, efficiency, and scale
- Opportunities, risks, and issues are identified early and communicated clearly
- Paid media performance contributes to profitable revenue growth across client accounts
Responsibilities
- Manage Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns for assigned eCommerce clients
- Build, launch, monitor, and optimize paid media campaigns across Meta and Google
- Manage campaign structures, budgets, bidding strategies, audiences, creative testing, and optimization priorities
- Monitor daily and weekly performance across key paid media metrics including spend, revenue, ROAS, MER, CAC, CTR, CPC, CPM, CPA, CVR, and AOV
- Analyze performance data to identify trends, issues, opportunities, and next steps
- Work with Growth Strategists to align paid media execution with each client’s broader growth strategy
- Work with creative team members to identify winning ads, creative fatigue, new testing needs, hooks, angles, and messaging opportunities
- Provide clear recommendations for budget allocation, scaling, testing, and optimization
- Support Google Ads execution across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube, and remarketing where applicable
- Support Meta Ads execution across prospecting, retargeting, Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns, creative testing, and audience testing
- Review product feeds, tracking, attribution, conversion data, and account setup to identify issues or improvement opportunities
- Prepare performance updates, reporting notes, and insights for weekly client calls and internal reviews
- Stay current on platform changes, best practices, and new opportunities across Meta Ads and Google Ads
- Maintain strong organization across multiple client accounts, priorities, tests, and deadlines
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on paid media experience managing Meta Ads and Google Ads
- Strong experience working with Shopify-based eCommerce brands
- Strong understanding of DTC customer acquisition and performance marketing
- Experience managing paid media campaigns across Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads
- Experience with Google Search, Shopping, Performance Max, remarketing, and campaign optimization
- Experience with Meta campaign structure, creative testing, audience testing, retargeting, and Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns
- Ability to analyze performance data and turn it into clear optimization decisions
- Strong understanding of eCommerce metrics including revenue, ROAS, MER, CAC, AOV, LTV, CTR, CPC, CPM, CPA, CVR, and conversion rate
- Experience managing paid media budgets across multiple client accounts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work inside ad accounts daily
- Excellent written communication skills
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple accounts, tests, priorities, and deadlines
- Proactive, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership of performance
- Comfortable working remotely with a distributed team
Nice to Have
- Previous agency experience managing multiple eCommerce client accounts
- Experience managing $100,000+ per month in paid media spend across Meta and Google
- Experience with TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, YouTube Ads, or other paid media channels
- Experience with Triple Whale, Northbeam, GA4, Looker Studio, Shopify Analytics, Klaviyo, ClickUp, or similar tools
- Experience auditing ad accounts and identifying structural, tracking, creative, or scaling opportunities
- Experience with creative strategy, UGC testing, landing page testing, and offer testing
- Experience working with supplement, apparel, beauty, food/beverage, health, lifestyle, or other DTC eCommerce brands
- Understanding of contribution margin, profitability, blended CAC, and full-funnel performance
