Data Engineer Specialist (Queretaro)

The Data Engineer executes the work of implementing the technical solutions implemented in the data lake, as defined by the Data Analyst and validated by the Data Architect. Focus on the technical configuration aspects including data ingestion and integration frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Executes the work of implementing and supporting the technical solutions implemented in the data lake, as defined by the Data Analyst and validated by the Data Architect.
• Build new or enhance existing data pipelines for optimal extraction, transformation, and load from various data sources, using different possible languages and technologies.
• Focus on the technical configuration aspects (i.e. in the data lake) including data ingestion and integration frameworks.
• Collaborate with data owners and stewards.
• Ensure pipelines comply with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
• Build pipelines to ingest, clean, and transform structured, semi-structured and unstructured data (text, images, pdf) formats to support PBI reporting needs.
• Conduct data profiling, validation, and anomaly detection to identify quality issues early in the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience as Data Engineer that includes ETL/ELT workflow experience in design, configuration, data mapping, extraction, transformation and loading and writing code and maintaining it.
• Have data warehousing high-level principles and understanding of business intelligence.
• Experience working with Databricks and Apache Spark/PySpark.
• Proficiency with complex SQL development.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab).
