MES Support Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a MES Support Engineer to support and enhance our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) operations. This role will be responsible for MES performance, troubleshooting, continuous improvement initiatives, production traceability, and support of new product launches. The ideal candidate has strong experience in manufacturing environments, MES applications, databases, and cross-functional project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain weekly and monthly MES KPIs, including downtime analysis and service performance metrics.
• Create traceability reports, database queries, and manufacturing data analysis.
• Support plant new product launches through MES analysis, configuration, and implementation activities.
• Identify, analyze, and lead MES improvement projects and system optimization initiatives.
• Manage MES-related incidents and service requests, ensuring proper prioritization and resolution.
• Troubleshoot MES applications and perform system debugging activities.
• Monitor MES databases, application servers, clusters, logs, and system performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturing and IT standards, including AS4 and AS244 requirements.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and IT teams to support manufacturing objectives.
• Monitor MES backup processes and support system recovery activities.
• Manage MES hardware lifecycle and maintenance processes.
• Participate in operational reviews, launch meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of SQL, databases, reporting tools, and production traceability systems.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise applications and manufacturing systems.
• Understanding of server monitoring, application performance, and system administration concepts.
• Experience supporting production launches and manufacturing projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Advanced English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of MES platforms such as Apriso, SAP ME/MII, Opcenter, Camstar, FactoryLogix, or similar.
• Experience with manufacturing data analytics and KPI development.
• Project management and continuous improvement experience
