Corporate/Litigation Senior Attorney (Tijuana)

The Corporate Counsel role supports Tebra’s legal, compliance, and risk management needs within a fast‑paced healthcare technology environment. Provide practical guidance on HIPAA, security, financial, and privacy matters while independently managing cross‑functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide business‑minded legal guidance to a growing healthcare software company, including privacy, secure payment and billing practices, information security, intellectual property, and procurement.
• Provide guidance on a broad range of privacy and security frameworks, including HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging state data privacy laws.
• Contract drafting and review in support of Tebra’s business development, operations, products, and services.
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to conduct legal reviews of new software features, ensuring compliance by design.
• Proactive identification, mitigation, and management of legal and compliance risks to the business.
• Provide support and legal guidance to ensure Tebra’s compliance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and Tebra’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 3‑5 years experience as in‑house counsel for a software or technology company or national law firm.
• Strong ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with adopting AI‑driven legal tools to improve productivity and manage high‑volume contract review.
• Must have a JD from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in California (or eligible for Registered In‑House Counsel status).
• Experience with legal matters in the healthcare industry or SaaS sector is preferred.
