As a manufacturing engineer, you play a key role in manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for ensuring that tools, accessories, equipment, workstations, preventive maintenance, standard procedures, and production documentation are up-to-date and in optimal condition to help maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing production, while adhering to safety and quality standards and optimizing the use of resources. The manufacturing engineer will collaborate with the cross-functional team and various departments to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), implement process improvements, and maintain a safe work environment in all areas under their responsibility.**What You’ll Do*** Responsible for defining the process, tools, documents, and equipment.* Tooling and fixture design.* Active participation in the problem-solving process, using poka-yoke methods and tools to help us prevent errors in production.* Generate and keep up-to-date PFMEA, Work Instructions, Visual Aids, and other documents to support the operation.* Responsible for ensuring the tooling, fixtures, and equipment are in optimal condition.* Collaborate with other departments to attend NPI, VAVE Projects, and CI Projects.* Attend the daily SQDCP meetings and actively address the opportunities detected in the meeting.* Responsible for ensuring all new hires related to the production of the products receive proper training, and certification, looking to respect the three pillars in this order Safety, Quality, and Productivity.* Responsible for controlling the production spending under the budget, and looking at short, medium, and long term.* Responsible for coordinating resources to execute manufacturing engineering changes in the production line.**Who You Are*** **Continuous Learning:** Finds ways to continuously improve processes.* **Initiating Action:** Takes prompt, proactive action to accomplish work goals with limited oversight, be a creator of changes and implementations, and not wait to receive new orders to start.* **Team Building:** Knows how to get the team moving in the same direction to deliver results, making the changes needed according to demands and goals as a result of changes.* **Continuous Improvement:** Finds ways to continuously improve processes, methods, and team performance, reducing transportation, inventory, movements, time on hold, overproduction, overprocess, and quantity of products with defects.* **Delivering Results:** Understands and tenaciously works at meeting or exceeding goals.**Skills/Experience We’re Looking For:*** Transfer production lines.* NPI knowledge.* Knowledge of the execution and implementation of project management.* Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes (Sheet Metal Fabrication).* Mechanical tooling design (Solid Works, Auto Cad or Pro E)* BOM structuring.* Geometric tolerances.* SPC* PFMEA* Cost analysis for better decision-making.* Analysis of information for budget preparation.* Preparation of metrics for monitoring and compliance with key performance indicators.* Problem-solving tools.* Lean Manufacturing.**Required Qualifications*** 3 to 5 years with a similar position.* Mechatronic Engineer or Mechanical Engineer or a related field* Metal mechanic experience* Project Management* Lean manufacturing.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.Wherever you're at in your career, our people and resources will help you go further.
