The Sales Development Coordinator (SDC) ensures Baker Hughes maximizes its revenue, profit, and collection opportunities in the short and long term by ensuring flawless execution, on-time delivery, contract compliance, and payment for assigned work. This role will coordinate necessary work activities across organizational boundaries to ensure Baker Hughes delivers work in accordance with customer expectations and contract terms and conditions.

Job Description:

Coordinate and ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate delivery of directional drilling services, from well planning to execution and closure, guaranteeing route optimization, achievement of drilling objectives, and customer satisfaction.

Functions and Responsibilities

: Technical Planning

 

• Develop and review directional drilling programs, including BHA, torque/drag models, hydraulics, and directional control strategies.
• Coordinate necessary resources, tools and personnel (MWD/LWD, motors, RSS, special BHA).
• Validate the availability and certification of critical tools (sensors, probes, motors, RSS).

Operational Management

 

 

• Supervise the execution of directional drilling from surface/remote, ensuring compliance with BHGE and customer standards.
• Monitor key parameters in real time:
  • Inclination and azimuth
  • Dogleg severity (DLS)
  • WOB, RPM, differential
  • Vibraciones, shocks & stick-slip
• Support trajectory correction decisions, BHA changes, and parameter optimization.
• Ensure integration with MWD/LWD, geosteering, drilling fluids and surface drilling equipment.

Customer Relationship

 

 

• Serve as the main point of contact during planning, operations and post-job.
• Present technical proposals, orientation analyses, projections, and operational recommendations.
• Participate in DWOP, HAZOP, pre-job, post-job and operational reviews.

Cost Control and KPIs

 

 

• Monitor consumption, operating times and adherence to the AFE curve.
• Ensure the profitability of projects through time optimization, NPT reduction, and efficiency improvement.
• Prepare final reports using:
  • Career summary
  • Actual vs. Planned
  • Incidents
  • Opportunities for improvement
  • KPIs (ROP, deviation, DLS, NPT)

HSE

 

 

• Ensure compliance with safety standards during all directional drilling operations.
• Lead STOP WORK initiatives and risk mitigation processes.
• Support incident investigations and ensure the implementation of corrective actions.

Quality and Continuous Improvement

 

 

• Ensure data conformity (sensor health, survey quality, MWD telemetry).
• Implement lessons learned in future wells.
• Monitor the performance of BHA, motors, RSS, and tools to improve reliability.

3. Job Requirements and

Training

 

 

• Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field.

Experience

 

 

• Minimum 5 years in directional drilling (field directional + MWD/LWD + office support).
• Proven experience in:
  • High-performance downhole motors and BHAs
  • Rotary Steerable Systems (RSS)
  • Survey Management / Anti-Collision
  • Slide drilling & rotary drilling
  • Geonavigation (preferred)
