Import-Export Coordinator & Logistics

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipment activity with order processing, customer service, and shipping.
• Prepare export documents: Commercial invoice, Packing List, SLI, EAR/ITAR and C/O etc.
• Perform restricted screening on all orders.
• Book shipments with freight forwarders and promptly communicate tracking information.
• File all export related documents on the share drive for quick access.
• Expedite import shipments with customs broker/carriers.
• Enter classification information in the ERP system: SAE, Contpaq.
• Code freight invoices for payment.
• Create and maintain import/export reports.
• Assist internal departments with resolution of import/export related issues.
• Respond to miscellaneous requests from the Warehouse such as partially filled containers or receiving of damaged goods.
• Generate monthly Period Balances for reconciliation purposes in SAP.
• Enter all new material numbers into SAP, maintain/delete obsolete material numbers in system program and keep an updated list for pricing.
• Local and international purchases, place purchase orders, general Mexican logistics activities.
• Registration of new suppliers and maintenance of current ones.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in international logistics or similar discipline.
• Basic English skills (read, write, speak)
• Knowledge of HTSUS, Customs Regulations, EAR, ITAR.and Incoterms 2010.
• 3 + years’ experience in import/export compliance and documentation for a manufacturing facility or freight forwarder.
• Experience processing shipments in FedEx Ship Manager and DHL EasyShip
• Ability to satisfactorily complete position training requirements.
