Buyer – Purchasing (Mexico Based) | Restaurant Services, Inc.

Overview:

We are seeking a Buyer to join a dynamic supply chain and purchasing team supporting a large, multi-unit restaurant operation. This role is responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of products at the best cost and quality, while supporting data-driven decision-making and operational excellence. You will work closely with suppliers, distributors, and internal stakeholders to manage purchasing activities, support product launches, and maintain supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage supplier and distributor relationships, ensuring service, quality, and cost expectations are met.
• Support product supply, pricing, and inventory management for assigned categories.
• Conduct industry research, supplier evaluation, and data analysis to support strategy and decision-making.
• Assist in launching new products and promotions with Burger King culinary, marketing, and development teams.
• Monitor and communicate distributor performance, service disruptions, and supply recovery.
• Maintain strong relationships with franchisees, supporting issue resolution, reporting, and profitability.
• Use MicroStrategy and RSI supply chain systems to run ad-hoc reports, pricing reviews, and LC analyses.
• Coordinate internally across departments including Promotions Planning, Distribution & Logistics, and Equipment & Facilities.
• Support board materials, special projects, and other initiatives as directed by executive leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4-7+ years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or related purchasing roles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfortable with reporting tools and data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Experience in foodservice or restaurant supply chain purchasing.
• Familiarity with Burger King operations or franchise systems.
• Exposure to vendor and distributor management across multiple regions.
