Your job responsabilities as a Communication Specialist:

• Leads country-wide internal and external communication strategy, development and execution, including social media, digital communications and video production.

• creates and executes a 1-2 year Monterrey-focused brand awareness campaign for the new ZF Monterrey Campus. Work closely with HR organization to assist with onsite and virtual recruiting activities, employee engagement events, campus tours, focus groups and other activities to promote employer branding. for our new Monterrey campus.

• Collaborate with North America Communications department to develop and implement strategic communications concepts; participate in weekly NA Comms meetings.

• Develop innovative story lines that communicate the company’s goals and strategic initiatives

• Create and execute communication plans that support various initiatives throughout the year, including trade shows, and media, customer and internal events

• Establish and maintain relationships with media, acting as a primary point of contact for industry, business and local press within the region

• Engage and position Mexico’s executives and subject matter experts as key industry experts and company spokespersons

• Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations

• Write and edit various communications materials

• Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them

Your profile as a Communication Specialist:

• 8 to 10 years of Corporate Communications and/or Public Relations/Marketing agency 

• Proven track record working with internal and external stakeholders - including media, business units, plants, Human Resources and employees

• Ability to maintain and leverage social media and digital communication channels, including content creation

• Competence in English-language written and oral communications

• Experience developing relationships within all levels of the organization

• Demonstrated ability to interact with, counsel and influence senior executives effectively

• Experience with media strategies and tactics, and working with traditional and non-traditional media 

• Motivated and positive self-starter who is able to work independently, collaboratively and cross-functionally

• Ability to multi-task and handle various projects simultaneously within tight deadlines

• Proficient in MS Office

• Ability to travel 20-30 percent of the time within Mexico 

• Experience in the automotive and technology industries a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Communications, Public Relations or Journalism
