MEP Planning/Design Coordinator

The MEP Planning/Design Coordinator is responsible for supporting facility expansion projects through effective planning, design coordination, and cross‑functional communication. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical understanding of MEP systems, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities

• Facility infrastructure planning — Lead infrastructure planning and project coordination for new factory developments.
• MEP design review — Review, validate, and coordinate MEP designs prepared by consultants and contractors, providing technical comments as needed.
• Project requirements development — Define project requirements, engineering concepts, and layout planning for facility expansion.
• Construction supervision — Oversee site activities, monitor construction progress, quality, and safety, and manage contractor performance.
• Stakeholder coordination — Facilitate communication among design consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and timely execution.
• Project planning support — Assist with project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Commissioning and close‑out support — Support commissioning activities and project close‑out processes.

Education: bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial facility projects.
• Experience in MEP design review and construction coordination.
• Experience managing contractors and construction activities.
• Manufacturing facility experience is preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, Electrical and Fire Protection systems is preferred.

Skills:

• AutoCAD
• Microsoft Project
• Microsoft Office
• Basic Revit/BIM knowledge preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish and English)

Experience in facility operation and maintenance is highly desirable. The selected candidate will serve as a key member of the construction project team and must demonstrate strong planning and coordination capabilities, along with foundational knowledge of MEP engineering design to support ongoing and future facility expansion initiatives.
