A Snapshot of Your Day

As supplier quality engineer (f/m/d) you will support the Grid Technologies execution unit "Service" in our regions to serve the growing business and its supply chain. Supporting the business by conducting supplier qualifications with audits & assessments, performing project / product specific approvals and developing the supply base, is integral part of your daily contribution. By closely monitoring the quality of deliverables and performance of suppliers, you are ensuring they are in line with our quality program and will improve the efficiency of our company. In Grid Technologies Service, every day is not the same. We have a multicultural team with global projects and supplier markets. You will be responsible for the development of the best‑performing suppliers for our general customers and make a significant contribution to the energy transition and stabilization.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Supporting our service procurement organizations and its regional set‑up in all sqm related aspects.
• Setting up the sqm relevant processes for Grid Technologies Service and all relevant sqm elements.
• Coordinating and leading supplier quality topics through collaborative activities in cross‑functional teams to support procurement and project strategy.
• Performing supplier qualifications incl. supplier audits in accordance with IMS standards and/or VDA6.3.
• Driving non‑conformance management and root cause analysis, corrective and preventive measures as well as supporting risk analysis according to product safety regulations.
• Initiating and implementing supplier quality improvement measures.
• Increasing transparency on SCNCC’s (supplier caused non‑conformance costs) and driving reduction programs and supporting related claim activities.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in electrical engineering or comparable.
• Strong professional experience as quality engineer or engineer with practical experience in project businesses.
• Qualification as QMIP (quality manager in projects) is welcome.
• Profound knowledge in quality controls & auditing (lead auditor or at least 1st and 2nd party auditor for ISO 9001 and preferably also for ISO14001 & 45001).
• Working experience in technical functions in the businesses of energy / transmission or related industries.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis and other quality & risk management methodologies.
• Intercultural experience, motivation to work with multicultural teams and willingness to travel globally.
• Excellent communication skills in English. Additionally, fluency in Spanish and Portuguese is an advantage.
