Senior CI/CD Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe DevOps Consultant to provide high-level advisory services for a major banking institution. In this role, you will bridge the gap between legacy core banking systems and modern DevOps practices, specifically focusing on establishing, optimizing, and maintaining GitHub CI/CD pipelines within a Hogan mainframe environment .

This is a remote position requiring a bilingual professional who can seamlessly collaborate across global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Pipeline Architecture & Execution : Design, build, and maintain robust code migration pipelines to seamlessly move code across regions, up to and including production deployment
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner closely with the bank's internal Hogan team to coordinate remote support and ensure smooth knowledge transfer during the engagement ramp-up
• Stakeholder Management : Collaborate directly with the bank’s stakeholders in Mexico on pipeline automation deliverables, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-impact advisory outputs
• Global Alignment : Work in tandem with the bank’s GitHub Center of Excellence (CoE) based in India to align local deliverables with global engineering standards
• Work Environment : Primarily remote with occasional travel to the local office as required by project milestones

Required Skills & Qualifications

• DevOps Expertise : Strong hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions/Pipeline
• Mainframe Core : Solid understanding of COBOL programming language
• Language Proficienc y: Full professional fluency in bot h English and Spanish (written and spoken)

Nice-to-Have Skills (Highly Valued)

• Experience wi th CA Ende vor for mainframe software change management
• Deep knowledge of t he Ho gan banking system, including modules such as IDS, FSS, CIS, RPM, and Umbrella
