Lead Analyst – Global Cybersecurity Operations (GCO)
The role is part of the Integral Cybersecurity Operations at HSBC, responsible for leading the analysis of and supporting the response to cyber security events across the global technology estate.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis of cyber security events within the Monitoring and Threat Detection team, triaging threat detection events from across the global HSBC technology estate.
• Develop and enhance the global cybersecurity operations monitoring and detection capability, engaging with Cybersecurity, IT functions and global businesses to deliver sustainable threat monitoring in line with industry standards and company strategy.
• Work closely with peers and business leads to build and implement controls aligned with the threat landscape, risk posture, architectural constraints, and industry best practices.
• Continuously review processes and controls to ensure capability is refactored to meet evolving security, compliance, and business needs.
• Drive delivery of high standards and outcomes, inspiring others and focusing on medium‑to‑long‑term goals even under pressure.
• Manage expectations, results, and impact of agreed outcomes, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues.
• Strategically develop innovative problem‑solving approaches to gain performance and efficiency advantage, taking calculated entrepreneurial risks to achieve security‑aware, business‑and‑strategy‑aligned outcomes.
