Temporary Customs Specialist

Overview

This is a temporary contract position. The role sits in the Customs department as an Import Export Specialist responsible for providing instructions for import/export clearance to the customs broker for factory León and Guanajuato, and for following up instructions to ensure the import/export process is performed in accordance with current customs legislation.

What You’ll Do

• Creation of the instructions for the customs broker for all the import/export shipments for factory León and Guanajuato by using our GTM (General Trade Management) system.
• Send instructions to the customs broker for customs clearance by our General Trade Management (GTM).
• Ensure the correct elaboration of the import/export pedimentos and ensure that the complete operation has been carried out in accordance with the current legislation and internal guidelines.
• Active participation in different activities of the customs department to improve processes.

What You Bring

• Professional experience: 2 to 4 years.
• Experience in customs legislation (LA, RLA, RGCE, Rules of the Ministry of Economics, etc.).
• Experience in coordination of import / export shipments.
• English at a professional working level.
• Demonstrated ability to focus on project work and efficiently bring projects to completion.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work with supervision and follow instructions.
• Critical thinking and emotional intelligence.

This is a temporary contract position.
