Quality performance engineer (Santiago de Querétaro)

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join the manufacturing operations team in an international industrial company operating in the automotive sector. This role will be key in ensuring product and process quality, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting customer satisfaction within a dynamic production environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with quality standards throughout manufacturing processes.
• Monitor quality KPIs and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to customer complaints and internal quality issues.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, suppliers, and customer quality teams.
• Support internal and external audits, documentation, and compliance with IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve manufacturing performance.
• Prepare quality reports, inspections, and analysis of non-conformities.
• Support containment actions and follow-up of corrective actions with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Experience as a Quality Engineer within manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and quality systems.
• Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as 8 D, FMEA, SPC, APQP, PPAP, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Familiarity with automotive standards and management systems including VDA, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001.
• Experience in the automotive sector or highly regulated industries is highly valued.
• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, or related fields.
• Advanced level of English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
