Supplier Quality and Development Engineer (Isla Guadalupe)

Reports to: General Supply Quality Manager.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of supplier assessments and drive both corrective and preventive actions based on supplier maturity and performance. Each day, you will manage operational supplier quality—both on-site and off-site—ensuring the effective execution of supplier qualification and development processes. You will also showcase your expertise by managing supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Work model: Onsite.

Global relocation/LTA support will not be considered for this position.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division in Mexico and USA.

Your Role: Own the Challenge

• Lead the approval process for supplier parts, materials, and subcontractor services, including PPAP and product surveillance at supplier sites.
• Address supply issues related to quality, delivery, or non-compliance in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with buyers to engage suppliers and manage claims when needed.
• Ensure supplier development processes are executed to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in supplier quality or a related role, including audits and corrective actions.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish; strong communication skills.
• Willingness and availability to travel nationally and internationally.
• IATF auditor experience, a valid U.S. visa, and passport are considered strong assets.
• Bachelor’s degree completed in a relevant field.
